I got my second lightning hit when I was 15 years old in my parents' carport.
(My mother told me to come inside because a storm was coming up. I ran to get inside and had my hand on the
door knob when I got zapped!) The carport was / is enclosed on three sides and is two cars deep. The damage from that strike
has caused shoulder problems for me which I am still having trouble with to this day.
Play it safe and get inside when it is storming!
Two of the times that I was struck there was a storm only in the distance - keep that in mind. So it is a
sure bet if you can see lightning you can get hit by it!
Don't take a chance. Your life depends on it!
